Birds on Branches

These rugs were created for Mariantonia Urru in Samugheo, a key center of Sardinian weaving, using the traditional Pibiones technique. The wool rises in small, textured knots, forming a narrative of time expressed through material and the rhythm of the artisan’s gesture. Each piece is unique and holds the memory of slow making, a woven landscape that becomes a living presence within the space. More than rugs, they are floor artworks: surfaces to inhabit with body and gaze, where tradition transforms, becomes contemporary form, and continues its story
