Us, Them, the Others

illusion explores the disorientation of the contemporary self, protagonist of a society that has lost its sense of collectivity. Technology gives the impression of easy and endless connections, yet communication becomes a monologue reflected in a screen acting as an alter ego. The work stages a self speaking to itself while believing it is speaking to the world, seeking validation and belonging through numbers and images while real relationships fade. A figure alone, convinced of being part of the social fabric, finds instead isolation: a presence suspended between the desire for connection and the impossibility of truly sharing it
