Stories and Memory

Editorial illustrations created for Adirondack Life Magazine, a U.S. publication focused on the history and culture of the Adirondack region in the state of New York. The artworks depict narratives rooted in place: the lives of prostitutes in the early twentieth-century mountain communities, seen through their presence and role in the local social landscape; and a tour of ghostly haunts, envisioned as spaces where memory, storytelling and atmosphere overlap. The visual language evokes what lingers, what returns, and what the land carries forward
