Listening, Mind, Emotions
Editorial illustrations created for Cerebrum Magazine, a U.S. publication focused on neuroscience. The first artwork explores the relationship between hearing loss and dementia: two figures are depicted as buildings. The one speaking has an open window on the chest, while the listener’s body is walled, with shuttered windows and question marks inside the mind. Communication cannot enter, and the connection to the world fades. The second illustration examines emotional intelligence: two profiles face each other, each inhabited by inner selves. One holds a puzzle piece, the other a flag made of the completed puzzle; birds fly from the speaker’s mouth as gentle words. Thoughts and feelings find a shared space.
